Introduce passwordless, phishing-resistant sign-in without rebuilding every application. Fortified ID Access uses passkeys as an authentication method and passes the identity to existing services through protocols including SAML and OpenID Connect.
Access can serve as your identity provider or complement an existing environment. You can introduce passkeys gradually while retaining your directories, federations, policies and application integrations.

Self-service and controlled enrolment
With Fortified ID Enrollment, users can register passkeys through self-service. Registration can also be delegated to a service desk, administrator or another designated role during onboarding, support and recovery.
Your organisation controls how a user’s identity is verified before a new passkey can be registered. The flow can, for example, be protected with SITHS, EFOS or another trusted eID.
From onboarding to everyday sign-in
Fortified ID can use passkeys throughout the identity journey:
- Passwordless sign-in and Single Sign-On
- MFA and step-up for sensitive applications
- Self-service and delegated registration of authentication methods
- Controlled recovery when an authentication method is lost
- Strong authentication before password reset
- Onboarding where Access and Control verify the user, collect information and create the account
- Modern sign-in for applications that do not support passkeys themselves
A passkey is an authentication method, not proof of identity for an initial account application. The user can first be identified through a trusted flow and then register a passkey for future sign-ins.
A passkey on a computer, phone or security key
A passkey can reside on a computer, mobile phone or physical security key. For roles with particularly high security requirements, a hardware-bound passkey on a YubiKey offers control over where the authentication key is stored.
